Greta Thunberg Arrested at London Oil Conference
Greta Thunberg arrested is the headline that has captured global attention. The known advocate, for climate change action was taken into custody during a demonstration outside a conference. That was formerly referred to as the “Oil and Money” gathering.

The young activist, who is 20 years old participate in a protest organize by the climate organization called Fossil Free London. Their demonstration targeted the Energy Intelligence Forum. Gathering that draws ranking executives from major oil and gas companies such, as TotalEnergies, Shell and Aramco.
The arrest of Greta Thunberg gained attention as she and other protesters sought to obstruct access, to the hotel entrances preventing delegates from attending the event.

Greenpeace, another participant in the protest drew attention to the presence of law enforcement, during the demonstration. They reported that protesters, including Thunberg obstructed the entrances of the hotel since morning.
Moreover two activists descended from the rooftop of the building. Unveiled a banner displaying the message “Hold Big Oil Accountable.”
Earlier that day, before the news of Greta Thunberg arrested spread, she criticized politicians for their lack of backbone, accusing them of being in cahoots with oil industry lobbyists.

The protest taking place in London marks the initiation of a movement as Greenpeace plans to carry out three days of action aimed at the conference.
