RBC Heritage 2024: Scottie Scheffler’s Dominance Continues
RBC Heritage 2024 champion Scottie Scheffler added yet another title to his impressive season by winning at Harbour Town. The world number one took home a cheque for $3.6 million, solidifying his place at the top of the rankings.
Scheffler has now won four of his last five starts including claiming his first green jacket at the Masters just a week prior. Shooting a final round 71 on Monday after weather delays, he finished 10 under par to defeat Sahith Theegala by three shots. This incredible run of form has seen Scheffler earn over $18 million already in 2022.
Continued Mastery
With the RBC Heritage 2024 victory, Scheffler became just the third player to win the Masters and follow up by winning the following week, joining Tiger Woods and Bernhard Langer in accomplishing this rare feat. He displayed complete control and command of his game throughout the tournament, proving that his win at Augusta was no fluke. Through 25 holes on Sunday before play was suspended, Scheffler carded a bogey-free 65 to take a commanding six shot lead into the final round.
The RBC Heritage 2024 prize money highlighted Scheffler’s dominance, with Theegala taking home over $2 million for second place. Wyndham Clark and Patrick Cantlay finished in a tie for third and earned $1.16 million each.
