Joe Biden Hits the Road in Search of Votes Out West

President Joe Biden is taking his reelection campaign on the road this week. With stops planned in key Western swing states Nevada and Arizona as he looks to shore up support ahead of another matchup with Donald Trump.

After delivering his State of the Union address earlier this year. Joe Biden’s campaign has kicked its efforts into high gear with travel to every major battleground region. This week finds the president out West where he will hope to reinvigorate the diverse coalition that helped elect him in 2020. Nevada and Arizona will both be crucial to any pathway to victory in 2024.

Rallying the Base

During his time in the West, Joe Biden will focus on touting his administration’s accomplishments on issues. Like job growth and lowering housing costs. He will also emphasize the importance of protecting abortion rights and American democracy. Issues his team believes will be motivators for the Democratic base. Events are planned where Joe Biden can directly engage with Latino voters. Who make up large portions of the electorate in both states.

After stops in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada, Joe Biden’s Western swing will conclude with an event in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday where he is expected to announce new investments in domestic chip manufacturing. The trip allows Joe Biden to fill campaign coffers as well, with fundraisers scheduled in Texas before returning to Washington.

With the election now less than a year away, Joe Biden’s campaign sees victories in the West as critical to keeping the White House in Democratic hands. This week’s travel is part of an effort to “Joe Biden” and energize supporters across diverse communities throughout both Nevada and Arizona.
