Channel 4 Star Dale Bowes Passes Away At 28 After Cancer Battle
It is with deep sadness that the passing of beloved Channel 4 personality Dale Bowes has been announced. Only 28 years old, Dale charmed viewers on Steph’s Packed Lunch with his wit and charm but had been privately fighting cancer for years.
Diagnosed in 2021, Dale underwent surgery and chemotherapy to try and manage an incurable form of synovial sarcoma cancer in his left lung. Despite the brutal treatments, Dale continued entertaining audiences as a regular “lunchmate” on the popular daytime program hosted by Steph McGovern.
A Passionate Advocate
When given the opportunity, Dale Bowes bravely shared his cancer journey and experience with viewers, hoping to raise awareness. He was a passionate advocate for assisted dying. Believing terminally ill patients deserved choice and dignity at the end of life. Dale fought tirelessly. Until no more could be done.
Presenter Steph McGovern paid tribute saying Dale “always brought so much wisdom and joy” even during brutal treatment. Dale Bowes leaves behind many who were touched by his zest for life despite facing cancer. He will be deeply missed.
