Destiny 2 Developers Reveal Surprise Changes to Weapon Rollout in Upcoming Season
Bungie revealed adjustments to the weapon rollout planned for Destiny 2’s next seasonal update, Season of the Risen. Originally, the developer had announced new and reprised weapons from the “BRAVE arsenal” would be released over six weeks. However, following feedback from the dedicated Destiny 2 community, Bungie has now shortened this period.
The Destiny 2 team took to Twitter to acknowledge player concerns about the lengthy planned release schedule for the new arsenal. Many felt the six week period would not allow enough time to fully earn rewards and variants tied to the weapons before they rotated out. In response, Bungie announced it would halve the rollout time to three weeks.
A Rewarding Time in the Season of the Risen
Bungie also provided reassurances that Destiny 2 players will have plenty of opportunity to earn god roll versions of the returning favorites. Weapon drop rates are said to be among the highest in the series’ history. Various pathways will be available to target desired perks, ensuring everyone can obtain their desired rolls with some playtime investment.
In summary, the Destiny 2 community’s feedback has led to positive changes for the upcoming season. Players will now have less of a wait and more time to enjoy the new “BRAVE arsenal”. Based on Bungie’s comments, Season of the Risen is shaping up to be one of the most rewarding yet for loot-seeking Guardians.
