Country Star Morgan Wallen Arrested for Disorderly Conduct
Renowned country singer Morgan Wallen found himself in trouble with the law over the weekend. On Sunday night, Nashville police responded to an incident at Chief’s, a new bar located in downtown Nashville. Witnesses say they saw Wallen lunge and throw an object over the roof of the multi-story establishment. Security footage reviewed by officers appeared to confirm this.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that the object thrown from above was a chair. The chair landed just feet away from where several police officers had been standing on the street below. No one was physically injured, but officials say Wallen’s actions were reckless and endangered the safety of others. He has since been charged with three counts of reckless endangerment.
A History of Run-Ins
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first brush with the law for Morgan Wallen in Nashville’s downtown entertainment district. In 2020, he was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct outside of Kid Rock’s honky-tonk bar after reportedly kicking glass items and refusing to leave when asked. Wallen has also made headlines in the past for his use of racial slurs, leading to bans from major music platforms.
Morgan Wallen is scheduled to appear in court on May 3rd to face the charges stemming from this latest arrest. His legal troubles come amid a period of professional success, with multiple concerts planned at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium later this month. It remains to be seen how this arrest may impact his upcoming shows or partnerships in the music industry.
