Philadelphia Phillies Activate Outfielder Cristian Pache from Injured List

The Philadelphia Phillies have brought outfielder Cristian Pache back to the team from Triple-A Lehigh Valley after he recovered from a knee injury. Pache tore the meniscus in his right knee in April and has since undergone rehabilitation.

To accommodate Pache’s return, outfielder Dalton Guthrie sent to Lehigh Valley. The Phillies acquired Pache in a trade with the Oakland Athletics earlier this year, and he has shown promise during his rehab assignment.

Cristian Pache, aged 24, has recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley and reinstated from the 10-day injured list. The outfielder suffered a meniscus tear in his right knee during a game against the Houston Astros on April 28.

Outfielder Dalton Guthrie optioned to Lehigh Valley on Thursday to make room for Pache on the 26-man roster.

Performance and Rehab Assignment of Cristian Pache

Cristian Pache

Before his injury, Cristian Pache displayed exceptional performance, making a strong impact at the plate.

He maintained an impressive batting average of .360 and recorded one home run and four RBIs in just 25 at-bats across 18 games.

Pache’s ability to consistently contribute to the team’s offense showcased his potential and value as an outfielder.

During his rehab assignment with Single-A Jersey Shore and Lehigh Valley, Pache continued to demonstrate his skills and determination.

Despite a lower batting average of .120 during this period, he still managed to accumulate three hits, including an impactful double and a home run.

Additionally, Pache showcased discipline at the plate, earning five walks and contributing five RBIs in 30 plate appearances across seven games.

His performance during the rehab assignment highlights his commitment to regaining his form and contributing to the team’s success.

In contrast, outfielder Dalton Guthrie, aged 27, had a more modest performance during his time with the Phillies. With a batting average of .167, Guthrie recorded four hits in 24 at-bats.

While he demonstrated some patience at the plate with three walks, he also experienced seven strikeouts.

Guthrie managed to score four runs, showcasing his ability to contribute to the team’s scoring efforts. However, his performance did not reach the same level of impact as Pache’s.

The Philadelphia Phillies are thrilled to have Cristian Pache back on the team after his successful recovery from a knee injury.

Acquired from the Oakland Athletics earlier in the year, Pache had already demonstrated his potential and impact prior to his injury.

The team is confident that Pache’s return will strengthen their outfield and provide a boost to their offensive capabilities.

As a result, outfielder Dalton Guthrie has been optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley to make room for Pache’s return.

The Phillies are excited about Pache’s contributions and look forward to his continued success as they progress through the season.
