Coachella 2024 Sneak Peek: New Merch Layout and Debut of Quasar Stage
Quasar, the latest addition to the Coachella 2024 festival, has already made a splash with its impressive 100-foot-wide stage and unique design elements. Festival-goers were thrilled to witness the debut of Quasar, which features a DJ stage in the center surrounded by two separate walls, creating a triangular center.
Accompanying Quasar is the redesigned Sahara tent, which has been expanded to 320 feet long and is now situated in its own area with a grassy knoll on stage left. The Sahara tent, a longtime favorite at Coachella, now boasts a large UFO-shaped production screen and eye-catching geodesic spheres hanging from the ceiling. Despite these exciting changes, some attendees noted that the available general admission viewing space seemed limited due to the large guest list viewing area in front of the stage.
Explore New Merch Layout
While exploring the festival grounds, festival-goers also observed some interesting alterations to the merch layout. Artist-specific merch tents, including Lana Del Rey’s, have been strategically relocated to the back of the festival grounds. This new arrangement aims to enhance crowd control, requiring fans interested in purchasing Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, or No Doubt merchandise to journey all the way back past the Indio Central Market and the Heineken House stage. It’s worth noting that Saturday headliner Tyler, the Creator does not have a merch tent this year.
In addition to the shift in merch tent placement, Coachella 2024 has modified its alcohol regulations, allowing attendees to freely roam the festival grounds with their alcoholic beverages. This liberated approach to enjoying drinks marks a departure from the festival’s long-standing rule, which previously confined beer-drinkers to designated areas until they finished their drinks. With bars now dispersed throughout the grounds, festival-goers can effortlessly purchase a drink and meander while enjoying their favorite performances.

Nestled between the Sonora and Gobi stages, the Method space offers air-conditioned comfort and beauty services to help attendees achieve their weekend “glow up.” Nearby, the White Claw Shore Club and Aperol Spritz Piazza offer cold beverages in a cozy setting, perfect for unwinding between performances.
