Justin Trudeau Faces Growing Anger As Canadians Say Country is Broken

Most Canadians believe the country is facing difficult times and are losing faith in Justin Trudeau’s leadership, according to a new poll. The exclusive survey reveals the depth of frustration with the current government.

The poll found 70% of respondents think “everything is broken” in Canada right now. This sentiment has increased in the past year and spans across party lines. Even Liberal voters who traditionally support Justin Trudeau expressed doubts, with 43% agreeing the country feels broken.

“Canadians are angry with how Justin Trudeau is managing the country,” said pollster Andrew Enns. Rising costs of living topped concerns at 72%, followed by health care and housing. Issues like foreign policy ranked much lower, suggesting pocketbook worries drive public opinion more than international events.

Approval of Justin Trudeau’s government varies sharply by voting intentions. While 78% of decided Liberal voters were happy, 83% of Conservatives voiced anger. Discontent was also growing among NDP supporters, normally natural allies of the Liberals but now with a majority unhappy under Justin Trudeau.

“It’s a balancing act for Jagmeet Singh between supporting the governing Liberals and representing frustrated NDP supporters,” noted Enns. With the next election looming, domestic challenges like inflation will likely decide the outcome more than foreign affairs. How Justin Trudeau addresses Canadians’ economic anxieties could determine his political future.

“Canadians feel the country is facing difficult times and Justin Trudeau is not providing the leadership needed,” said one respondent. This sentiment reflects the poll’s overall message – the Prime Minister must regain public trust by solving pressing problems at home.
