His close connections with Putin played a part in the success of his catering company named Concord allowing it to secure contracts with the army and public schools.

Apart from his ventures Prigozhin also participated in activities and warfare. He notably held a leadership position in the Internet Research Agency, which is often referred to as a “troll farm” involved in spreading disinformation during the 2016 U.S. Campaign.

As a result of these actions he faced sanctions and an arrest warrant issued by the U.S. Government.
